Una construcción ligera en madera y vidrio, una casa de veraneo en el archipiélago de Estocolmo. La organización de la planta está generada por las particularidades del terreno, una superficie plana entre dos grandes rocas que surgen del suelo, y con dos orientaciones importantes: hacia el sol, sur, y hacia el mar en el oeste.
Excepto los servicios, los ambientes de la casa se vuelcan a una plataforma abierta a través de puertas corredizas de cristal dispuestas en zigzag. La fuerte horizontalidad contrasta con los altos pinos que rodean la casa. Una pérgola de madera da continuidad a los espacios, los unifica, diluye el límite interior/exterior y provee luz difusa natural. El juego de reflejos, luces y sombras enriquecen aún más la naturaleza del entorno.

El estudio fue fundado en 1999 por los arquitectos Bolle Tham (1970) y Martin Videgård Hansson (1968). Su obra abarca arquitectura contemporánea, planeamiento e interiorismo; para clientes privados, públicos y corporaciones.

The starting point is the direct relation to the dramatic archipelago landscape with the objective to offer within a simple frame - a platform - several diverse readings of the relation space-nature. Conceived as a light weight construction in wood and glass, this summerhouse is built in the outer Stockholm archipelago. The horizontal character of the black stained exterior relates to the verticals of tall grown pines and the mirrored views of the Baltic Sea.
The geometry of the plan is generated by the specifics of the site, the house being fitted into the flat surface between two mountain rocks and turning simultaneously towards the sun in south and frontally towards the sea in west. With the small rooms placed in the back, the social areas of the house stand out as an open platform crisscrossed by sliding glass. The zig-zagged layout also creates a series of outside places sheltered from the strong winds.

La Casa K es un bloque estrecho que atraviesa el lote separándolo en un jardín anterior y un jardín posterior. Esta posición en el terreno favorece que la casa sea vista casi siempre de frente y percibida como una pared hueca cuya profundidad apenas alcanza para albergar los espacios habitables.
